Introduction

BP Message Center is an organization that combines service and technology to provide solutions to our customers’ e-mail distribution and list management needs. We do this by operating a variety of permission-based e-mail services that deliver targeted messages so that Internet users receive relevant e-mails. To maximize the integrity of BP Message Center's services to both our customers and to the Internet community, BP Message Center embraces solid privacy practices that preserve the trust of our users. If you have any questions concerning this privacy statement, please contact us at privacy@bpmessagecenter.com

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Our customers typically provide BP Message Center with e-mail addresses generated from their web site or other internal sources. Data provided to us may also contain name, postal address, and other demographic information. Our policy is to provide e-mail distributions only to individuals who have specifically registered through our customers or the e-mail list owner in the course of an “opt-in” process or who have declined an opportunity to “opt-out”. This process is one whereby an individual agrees to furnish specific personal information and gives permission to use his or her information in order to personalize future relevant communications or to fulfill individual requests. BP Message Center will only e-mail those people who have provided the list owner their permission to be e-mailed. We will not send e-mail to people who have told us they are under 18.

BP Message Center’s policy is to:

· Only collect personally identifiable information when it is voluntarily submitted to us on our clients' behalf through an individual’s “opt-in” acceptance to furnish such information or the declining of an opportunity to “opt-out”,

· Use this information to comply with an individual's request for information or to implement fulfillment of individual requests,

· From time to time refer to this information to better understand a customer's needs and how we can improve our products and services for our clients,

· Deliver relevant communications to that individual,

· Use the information to contact the individual with their approval,

· Provide a means for individuals to “opt-out” of the data collection process or be removed from our customer’s listing, and

· Not sell or otherwise transfer personally identifiable information to any third party, other than to our customer(s) as described above, without the individual’s expressed permission.

With each mailing users are offered an opportunity to unsubscribe – or “opt-out” – from this service. When BP Message Center receives an opt-out request, we will purge an individual’s personal information from data under our control. Note, however, that BP Message Center has no control over databases maintained by our customers. Our policy is to work only with companies that allow users the capability to opt-out.

[We and/or our customers may enhance and/or merge personally identifiable information about users with data collected from other sources to use in direct and/or online marketing and, to the extent permitted by law, individual reference and look-up service programs. In the event we enhance and/or merge such personally identifiable information with data collected from other sources, we will take reasonable steps to maintain the integrity and quality of that information.]

BP Message Center's use of Cookie Technology

A cookie is a token that a server gives to your browser and stores on your hard disk when you access a web site. Cookies contain information about your preferences that help provide additional functionality to the site and help web site owners analyze site usage more accurately. For instance, a server may set a cookie that keeps you from having to enter a password more than once during a visit.

The only server that can read a cookie is the server that created it. Allowing a web site to create a cookie does not give that or any other site access to the rest of your computer.

Some BP Message Center pages use cookies so that we can better serve you when you return to our Site. A cookie cannot be used to access or otherwise compromise the data on your hard drive. You can set your browser to either notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it, or you can choose to change your browser settings to disable cookies. (Unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.);

· We respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process.

We may use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our products, the site and to share with third parties.
